Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at our etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier, right here on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So this is the J-Style Kayak Carrier meaning that you have your kayak sitting up, kind of like this on its side, compared to your saddle style pad carriers where it sits flat on its whole. This allows you to carry maybe 2 or 3 kayaks on your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, ideally too with the crossbar space you have. All of that depends on the length of your crossbar. So we're going to take a look at this J-Style Kayak Carrier, just to see if it's the right fit for you, your kayaks and your adventures right here on your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Yakima DeckHand Kayak Carrier Review - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we are taking a look at our Yakima DeckHand rear loading, saddle style kayak here, right here on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So this is a saddle style, rear loading kayak here. So what that means is the saddle style is supporting your bolt holes. So this is as close as you're going to get to a conformed fit to your bolt hole compared to any other style of kayak carrier. Now, this does take up a little bit more space on your crossbars. So if you are limited on crossbar space and you want to carry multiple kayaks, this might not be the best option for you, but if you're just carrying a single or you have a space for two of your bigger boats, this is probably a good fit for you. more

Now guys, if you're looking a way of getting your kayak to your destination, of course the first thing is gonna be getting a roof rack system. Today we are working on the exposed rack, so we do have somewhat of more of a ill fit, I would say, than we potentially would want. However the JayLow is still doing a very decent job of getting our kayak up on there and giving ourselves a solid base to go ahead and transport our kayaks wherever we need them to go. So you are getting these straps included as well with 'em so that becomes nice, you're not having to make an extra purchase. more

Yakima ShowDown Kayak or SUP Carrier and Lift Assist Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima ShowDown stand-up paddleboard and kayak carrier with lift assist here on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now it's gonna come with all the different pieces you need, from your carrier to your straps. It's gonna get the job done and give you a lot of assistance when you're loading up your kayak. So your strap kit's gonna consist of two that are holding down the middle of your boat, which we'll see later, and your bow and stern. So with these straps here, my only gripe with them is that they come down to an S hook here, which is pretty common for a lot of kayak carriers. And the reason I don't like that too much is because, more often than not, you end up needing a hood anchor up front, which is fine, it's just another thing you have to pick up. more

Now right away as you can see, this is going to be a great option if we want to haul a single kayak to the Lake or river, however as you can see, this gives us ample room to actually get another pair on there. And if we want to get with a buddy or another family member, we'll be able to put two kayaks on there really easy. Another great feature about this guy as well, as you can see, we have about 150 pound capacity rating on these J style carriers. What that means, we can get any of our kind of fishing kayaks maybe one of our heavy duty kayaks up there and of course, any of our recreational ones are going to be well within that weight capacity, so that's going to be great. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be test fitting the Lockrack Watersport Carrier for kayaks, canoes, or up to two standup paddle boards. This is side loading, and it's part number is 3-3-9-L-R-U-N-I-S-E-T-A. We already have a kayak installed up here. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the biggest features, or biggest differentiators, from the other kayak carriers out there is the fact that, once this is installed, and the racketing arms are pushed into place, it does not require any tie downs, at all. As those can be pretty cumbersome, especially for those taller roofs, where you have to throw the straps on the other side and do it in a specific configuration. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule SUP Shuttle. This is going to be your stand-up paddleboard carrier for the rooftop of your vehicle. It is going to come with your tie-downs as well as your stern strap as well. This will be part number TH811XT. Right now, we're going to show it to you with everything assembled on the vehicle, all your straps in place as well as your stern strap on the back. Thule Watersport Carriers Review - 2015 Jeep Cherokee- Video

Today on our 2015 Jeep Cherokee we will be doing a test fit of the Thule SUP Shuttle. This is going to be your stand-up paddleboard and surfboard carrier. Couple neat features about it is it does extend, this being the shortest distance, but it also extends to meet your wider boards, as you can see there. Another cool feature about it is it does have the Flip-Fit brackets, which if you flip them and turn them around they fit smaller bars. If you flip it this way it will fit a wider bar. Really nice feature, makes it quick and easy to get it onto your vehicles no matter what kind of bars you have. As you can see, we've already got one installed and we're going to be putting part number TH811 up on the back end of this vehicle and getting our board up here so you can see how it all fits, looks, and so you can test it on the ride. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we'll be doing a test fit of the Sport Rack Kayak Carrier with a J Hook Style Design. It will be designed for, it's designed for one kayak and as you can see we've already got one mounted up here on market rails. We're going to go ahead and show you how to mount the other one up here and get it evenly and set up especially with your kayak on it. The first thing we're going to do is just get it up here, and make sure that this are unthreaded almost all the way. You know what, let's just leave that off of there, we'll make it really simple here. We're going to thread both of those, we'll drop down the plate, put the base over then this plate is going to go underneath, we'll thread this one on there just a little bit just to give it something to bite on to, place the hook style over. more

Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Compass- Video

Today, on our 2014 Jeep Compass, we will be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi, part number TH810. For the Thule Rapid Podium Roof Rack system, assembled onto the roof of our Jeep, well begin our test fit, by placing the front part of the rack onto our front bar. We will bring the rubber coated straps around the other side of the bar and hook them into the connection points and then turn the green knobs to tighten down the straps. Once both straps are tight, we can then repeat the same installation process for the back part of the carrier. Once everything is tightened down and secure, we're ready to load up our paddleboard. We will need to push out the plate on the right-hand side and then pull out on the silver plate with the Thule logo to free up the strap. more

Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Today on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee we'll be test fitting the Thule sup taxi stand-up paddleboard carrier with a two-board capacity, part number th810. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing half of our carrier onto our front crossbar. We can then bring the rubber-coated steel strap around the front crossbar, fit it back into the foot and use the small hand knob to secure it around our bar. We'll then move to the other side and repeat this process. We'll grab the other half of our carrier and place it onto our rear bar. We want to be sure that both halves of our carrier line up nicely with each other. We can then bring the rubber-coated straps around our rear bar and repeat the same tightening process that we used at the front. We'll go ahead and undo our straps and toss them over to the other side of our vehicle. We'll grab our paddle board and place it onto our carrier. more

Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Patriot- Video

Today on our 2014 Jeep Patriot, were going to be testing the Thule SUP Taxi Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier, part number TH 810. To mount our carrier, well take half of the carrier and set it up on top of the front load bar. We will feed the Speed-Link straps around the load bar and back into the heads. Then, we can use the hand knobs to tighten down the straps. Next, well take the second half of the carrier and place it on top of the rear load bar. We do want to make sure that the second half lines up nicely with the front half so we can carry our paddleboard in a nice straight line. more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, well be test fitting the Thule SUP Taxi Standup Paddle Board Carrier, part number TH810. Now this carrier gives you the ability to carrier up to 2 boards. With our vehicle already equipped with the Thule AeroBlade, were ready to fit it to the vehicle. Well take the front carrier, place it over the front crossbar, and make sure that the rubber-coated steel straps go underneath the crossbar where well reattach them to the foot itself. We can then turn the gray knob, winding the rubber-coated steel strap up, and securing the carrier to our crossbar. Well do this on both sides of our carrier and secure the front carrier to the front crossbar. more

Today on our 2010 Jeep Compass, well be test fitting part number TH810, the Thule SUP Taxi, Stand Up Paddle board carrier. Thatll begin our test fit. Well place the front carrier over the top load bar, well bring the rubber coated steel strap underneath the load bar and re-secure it to the foot of the front carrier. We can then tighten it down using the gray knob here on the side of the carrier. With the front carrier secured to the vehicle, well go ahead and move to the rear carrier. Again, well place the rear carrier on top of the rear load bar; well bring the rubber coated steel straps underneath the load bar and secure them to the carrier. more
